Today I have a fun nail art post to share with you. When I was on holiday and taking a break from blogging I wore solely gel polish. Mainly because this allowed me to have beautiful nails and not have to worry about them chipping all the time. I also rarely get the chance to wear a soak off gel mani for the full 2 weeks because I am constantly changing up my nails for the blog. I almost enjoyed my break too much haha!
For my first mani that I wore during my holiday, I wanted something that I could wear for 2 weeks and not get bored by it. I lose interest very quickly so this was quite tricky for me. I absolutely love wearing soft shades and nudes so I decided to go with a really soft sheer nude. Looks great with any outfit too so that was a bonus!
I’ve been obsessed with Mananails lately so decided to create a mani in her style. Mananails is a Japanese nail artist, be sure to give her a follow and be amazed by her flawless freehand skill! This design I recreated on my middle finger was by far my favourite one. I’m by no means in the same league (or even close) as the talented Mananails but I really loved wearing these even though they were not perfect.
I started with Gelaze Innocence as my base on all nails. I promised I’d be showing you the full Gelaze range and I will do so very soon, so keep your eyes peeled! Innocence is a beautiful sheer nude. Then I freehanded the white design using acrylic paint, and added the turquoise stone details using Madam Glam Fresh Water and Gelaze Licorice.
The tricky part of course was doing the same thing on my right hand but I think I nailed it! I did have to remind myself to breathe a couple of times, haha! I hope you like these as much as I do! Make sure to follow Mananails for tons of inspirational designs.
