Today I’m sharing a nail art based around my all-time favourite TV show which is Star Trek! I’ve been a huge Trekkie for years. Probably not as die-hard as some people but I simply love escaping in Gene Roddenberry’s universe. I did Star Trek nails a few years ago but I felt like it was time to update them. Let’s take a look!
These are the Star Trek nails I came up with! I started with a black base and then painted a space print. My boyfriend bought me the most amazing interactive book called Star Trek Vault which has a very pretty covering lining of a photo of space. I based my nail art around this photo and then freehanded a little Enterprise firing phasers on my pointer finger! On my ring finger I added the Starfleet Command insignia.
I used fine nail art brushes for the whole design and nail art stripers for the accent nail. Here is the full list of the polishes I used: Jessica Black Lustre, China Glaze Fairy Dust, China Glaze Pelican Grey, China Glaze Hanging In The Balance, China Glaze Lighthouse, China Glaze Blue Bells Ring, China Glaze Isle See You Later, China Glaze Senorita Bonita, China Glaze Cross Iron 360, CND Vinylux Cream Puff, ORLY Instant Artist Jet Black, ORLY Instant Artist Crisp White, Seche Vite.
This is probably one of my favourite nail art manicures ever! I really love these. Now I’m off to watch an episode of Star Trek Voyager! I’ve watched and loved almost all Star Trek series and spin-offs but I’m still catching up with Voyager and Enterprise. My favourite is of course Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I love Deep Space Nine too. I’m personally not a fan of the recent “reboot” films. I definitely prefer the series and older films.
I hope you like these! Make sure to let me know in the comments if you are a Trekkie too. 🙂
