If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen the awesome set of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes I received recently. Sally Hansen is a cosmetics brand that is absolutely huge in the US, I’m sure most of you know (and love) it! 😀 In Europe they are a little harder to come by, but recently Sally Hansen polishes have become available in my country, Belgium. You can now find them exclusively at Planet Parfum. Yay!
I was asked to create some nail art with the Sally Hansen nail polishes, and as I received a lot of gorgeous shades I really wanted to feature them all. Obviously it would be a little tricky to find a way to incorporate all 11 shades into one manicure :D, so I’ll be sharing several weekly nail art posts featuring Sally Hansen. Starting from today!
The shades I’ll be featuring first are these three lovely pastel colours. From left to right we have Pink Slip, Pink At Him and Purple Heart. I also used a Sally Hansen top coat, the Nailshine Miracle Top Coat. And for my manicure I also used some gorgeous pastel studs (I’m obsessed with these!) that matched Pink At Him perfectly.
Here’s the nail art I created using the three Sally Hansen shades! I made a pastel gradient on all nails using a sponge and on my accent nail I created a fun geometric design using striping tape. The technique is similar to the one I used for my Geometric Triangle Nails. I’m so proud of my gradient! Definitely the best gradient I’ve ever done. 😀
I was really pleased with the formula on these polishes. Pink Slip is a jelly so coverage was a little sheer, I believe I used over 4 coats to get the coverage you see on the accent nail. As long as you leave enough time in between coats, it’s not an issue. The other two covered nicely in 2-3 coats. I did struggle a little with the wide brush but I know many people love these!
The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes hold 14.7ml and are available at Planet Parfum for €11.99. Not the cheapest, but you get a lot of product and the shades are lovely! They truly glide on like butter and most of them cover very nicely too. I’d definitely recommend them! 🙂
