I have a big swatch post to share with you today featuring two new Rimmel London collections, and a giveaway at the end! I have the new Velvet Matte collection which features five gorgeous matte shades and the Glitter Bomb collection which has five sparkly glitter toppers. Let’s take a look!
Rimmel London – Matte-itude: First up is the Velvet Matte collection. This is a true matte black. Great for nail art or just on its own if you like the matte look. This was two coats.
Rimmel London – Velvet Touch: Next up is a grey matte. It’s fairly dark but still really beautiful. I liked this one a lot! This was two coats.
Rimmel London – Midnight Kiss: Next is Midnight Kiss which is a deep royal blue matte. This one looks amazing with top coat too! I used two coats.
Rimmel London – Purple Opulence: There’s also a deep purple matte in this collection. I think this might be my favourite out of the set! Very pretty. I used two coats.
Rimmel London – Sumptuous Red: Finally the last shade in this collection is unlike the name suggests a deep raspberry. I’d say this is the most unique shade out of the collection. This was two coats.
I really loved the Velvet Matte collection. They dry to a true matte finish and cover nicely. I do have to add that I use China Glaze Ridge Filler base coat for every single swatch. Mattes tend to highlight the imperfections of your nail plate so for a flawless finish, use a ridge filler base coat. They come with a wide rounded brush which I’m not a huge fan of but I know many people do like them! Now on to the Glitter Bomb collection!
Rimmel London – Midnight Mistletoe
Rimmel London – Midnight Mistletoe: First up is this red/green glitter topper. Well this one just screams Christmas doesn’t it? There’s a few sizes of hex glitters as well as some holographic hex glitter for added sparkle. I layered one coat over Rimmel Matte-itude and added top coat.
Rimmel London – Disco Fever
Rimmel London – Disco Fever: Secondly is Disco Fever which is a square holographic glitter topper. This one is quite versatile as it will look great over different base colours. They are well suspended and easy to apply. I used one coat over Rimmel Velvet Touch and added top coat.
Rimmel London – Bling Thing
Rimmel London – Bling Thing: Next is Bling Thing which is a gold hex glitter topper. There’s also some sparse holographic stars in it! Very cute! I layered one coat over Rimmel Midnight Kiss and added top coat. (mine seems to be missing a label on the front haha!)
Rimmel London – Bedazzle
Rimmel London – Bedazzle: Next we have Bedazzle which features pink, periwinkle and turquoise glitter. It’s a cheeky dupe for OPI Polka.com. This one is a little sparser than the OPI counterpart but apart from that it’s a perfect match. I layered one coat over Rimmel Purple Opulence and added top coat.
Rimmel London – Disco Diva
Rimmel London – Disco Diva: Finally we have Disco Diva which has light pink hex glitter as well as fine holographic glitter. It’s super sparkly! The holo effect of the fine glitter is so amazing. Really loved this one! I layered one coat over Rimmel Sumptuous Red and added top coat.
These glitters are definitely fun and they work perfectly with the Velvet Matte polishes as a base. They were easy to apply, had a nice distribution of glitter and most of them feature holographic glitter which adds a lot of sparkle. Perfect for the Holiday season!
