Today I have another stamper review to share with you, more specifically on the piCture pOlish Jelly Stamper kit, courtesy of Color4Nails. These clear stampers have been everywhere these past few months. And I’m sure you’ll agree that if you’ve tried them, that they’re really a must-have product. Let’s take a look!
The clear stampers are the latest innovation in the stamping world and make placement a piece o’ cake as you are able to SEE what you are stamping. If you’d like to see one in action, I did a YouTube review here a while back. They’re semi-squishy and work really great. They don’t need priming (this will cloud the stamper) so work great from the get-go. However you can always give them a gentle wash with water and soap to get rid of any oils.
This piCture pOlish Jelly Stamper set is slightly different to the other ones I have as it comes with a different type of holder. The holder is clear acrylic and is closed off at the bottom. I found this to be very inconvenient as it’s nearly impossible to clean the acrylic if you get polish on it so if you mess up and smudge the holder at the bottom, you have a disaster on your hands. I definitely prefer the holders that are open at the bottom. I did love that this holder came with a cap. The scraping card that comes in this kit is sturdy plastic, I personally prefer the more bendy scrapers (think Creative Shop scrapers) but that’s personal preference of course. I do wish there was a logo stamped on top of the card as the sticker won’t last very long and is not convenient for cleaning. So while the stamper heads work great, I wasn’t a fan of the holder personally. And if you ask me, I own about 6 or 7 different clear stampers now from various stores, they heads are all pretty much exactly the same.
I couldn’t leave you without a nail art mani! I did these simple watermarble effect nails using piCture pOlish Posey as my base and of course the jelly stamper to get perfect placement. The plate and polishes I used are MoYou London Fashionista 04 and Messy Mansion in Carbon and Chalk. Finished with glossy top coat!
