I’m super excited to be sharing this post with you today! A few ridiculously talented bloggers and myself have teamed up to bring you floral nail art today. All of us participating are part of a small FB group called Paint All The Nails hence the post title. The focus of our group is increasing engagement on our blogs so a themed link-up sounded like a fun idea. I for one can’t wait to see what everyone else has come up with, so exciting!
Our theme is floral which we voted for and it ended up as the clear winner. I wasn’t surprised, floral nails always have me swooning. Floral nail art lends itself to so many techniques so I think we’ll see some great stuff today. I took my inspiration from a notebook I received with a Dutch magazine called Flow a while ago. The cover has a beautiful vintage pink floral pattern with a delicate rose on the front. Isn’t it stunning?!
I didn’t have an exact match to the floral pattern in my stamping plate collection but found something that worked quite well. The rose and leaves are hand painted using acrylic paints so these nails mix both stamping and freehand techniques.
For my base I used Lacquer Lust Cherry Blossom, a perfect match to the shade of pink of my notebook, and stamped over it with an image from Born Pretty Store BPL-003 plate and Mundo De Unas stamping polish in Papyrus. Then I freehanded the roses using these acrylic paints from Born Pretty Store and my new brushes from Bundle Monster… Let me show you them!
Bundle Monster 8pc Dual-Sided Turquoise Brush Set
The brushes I used to freehand the roses are from this beautiful Bundle Monster brush set. It holds eight brushes which come in a protective pouch. Inside you’ll find three fine-tipped brushes for detail work, a long striper brush, a slanted brush and flat rounded brush (both perfect for clean-up) and a small and large flat brush. But that’s not all.
When I pulled them out of their holder, I noticed they are double-sided. On the opposite side of the brush you’ll find dotting tools in eight different sizes. Isn’t that neat?! This is basically the perfect starter set of nail art tools. The perfect gift for a friend that’s getting into nail art or to expand your current collection as the quality is great. It’s currently out of stock but you can leave your e-mail address so you’re notified when it’s back.
This is probably one of my all time favourite designs I’ve ever done! However this isn’t the first time I’ve done freehanded florals over a stamped design, I did these floral houndstooth nails last year which were a big favourite as well. I think these are even better though! I just love how sweet and delicate they are. I haven’t been able to stop staring at my nails!
I can’t wait to see what my fellow blogger friends have created so I’ll be off checking out all of their posts, I hope you will be too. 🙂
