I am so excited to be sharing this review today. A while ago I shared a photo of some Hēhē Harry Potter stamping plates on Facebook and Instagram that I purchased online from Aliexpress. There was a lot of buzz, even Haiyan, the owner of Hēhē Plates saw my post and reached out to me.
She informed me about fake plates circulating online and sent me the genuine plates to compare. It seemed that I did indeed purchase fakes online as the genuine Hēhē plates are much better quality. She had good news for me though, they just launched their worldwide online shop as they were previously only shipping to mainland China. If you don’t want to buy fakes, I really recommend to purchase from them directly so you don’t have to worry Let’s take a look at the plates!
The Hēhē Harry Potter set comes with 12 stamping plates, though you can also buy the plates separately. A good way to see if you have the genuine product is that they come in pretty cardboard sleeves and the back of the plate has their logo printed on it.
You might need to check these out on the website to see them in full detail. The set comes with some really fun plates. I especially like the ones with the house crests that feature 4 full nail designs. They are suitable even for non-Harry Potter related nail art. I’ve come up with two looks using these plates but the possibilities are truly endless!
The first look I did is one to show off my house colours! 😉 I started with Spell Polish Toe Of Frog on my pointer and pinkie, and applied Zoya Storm on my middle and ring finger. I stamped over it using A England Excalibur Renaissance and Hēhē plate in 031 and 036. Topped with some small silver studs and Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.
My second look features some bright colours! I started with Cirque Colors Carpe Diem as a base and sponged over Glam Polish Apple Mint, Glam Polish Lemon Meringue, Glam Polish Sweet Peach and Glam Polish Berry Parfait (all four are from the Sweets Part 1 and Part 2 duos exclusive to Mei Mei’s Signatures). Then I stamped over it with Mundo De Uñas Black and an image from the Hēhē 030 plate. Finished with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.
You can purchase Hēhē Plates from the official store aiyoohehe.com where they ship worldwide. Orders above $30 qualify for free shipping and the shipping fee for orders below that amount is $5.
I urge you to check out the site as they don’t just sell harry Potter plates, the latest collection has a Marvel/Superhero theme and she has a lot more gorgeous designs on offer. While these plates may be available from other online stores, if you want to get high quality I definitely recommend you to buy from them directly. It’s also the best way to support the talented designer and owner of these plates, Haiyan!
