Today my dear friend Deborah is taking over my blog! I feel like I mention her name at least once a week on here as we tend to do a lot of link-ups together or find inspiration with each other. I always enjoy chatting to her and reading her blog daily. I consider her the queen of holos, she’s incredible at capturing the gorgeous rainbow holo flame. Her swatches always have me swooning! She does the most incredible nail art too, this girl can do it all!
Hi loves! My name is Deborah and I am the main blogger from Love Varnish. I’ve known Emily for quite some time now and when she asked me to do a guest post so she could enjoy some quality time with her boyfriend and relax a bit, obviously I said yes. It’s always so much fun to post around here!
Even though I was excited to join with a guest post, inspiration was a bit tricky. At first I wanted to do a watermarble, but I kept having little bubbles and it just wasn’t working like I wanted (perfectionist, much?) so I went with a simpler, yet very bold look. The inspiration for this look is the lovely Marta from Chit Chat Nails ^^.
I used Cirque Colors Memento Mori and Polish My Life Birthday Suit for this look along with my homemade gold leaf topcoat (it’s getting thick and unruly, I am contemplating getting a real one this year for Christmas!). All nails except my ringfinger were painted with the PML shade, then topped with the gold leaf after which I stamped them using MoYou London Fashionista 04. The gold leaf peeking behind the stamping is so cool!
On my ringfinger I applied 2 coats of Cirque Colors Memento Mori and added 2 square studs while the polish was still wet. I finished that nail with a shiny topcoat, while I used matte for the others, and I was done!
Hope you enjoy this design Emily and enjoy your little vacation!
Thank you so much for these super gorgeous nails Deborah! They’re right up my alley. Black and white is EVERYTHING! And gold leaf and studs… YASSS! These could not be prettier! I adore them! Please show Deborah some love and follow her using the links below if you aren’t already.
