Today I have a something that might brighten up your day, a gorgeous rainbow of glitter! I have swatches the Birthstone Brilliance collection by Dollish Polish. This collection was made for Mei Mei’s Signatures, it’s a fully exclusive collection so you won’t be able to buy it anywhere else. Luckily Mei Mei ships internationally. You might have guessed it from the name, the Birthstone Brilliance collection, each colour represents a birth month. I’ve arranged them chronologically for you (going against my strong instinct to arrange it by colour hehe!). Let’s take a look!
Each swatch shows three coats of glitter with one coat of glossy top coat.
Dollish Polish – Glamorous Garnet (January)
Dollish Pollish – Glamorous Garnet (January): First up is this gorgeous dark burgundy red. It’s a gorgeous glitter mix with mostly fine glitter. I spied some purple, bright red and burgundy in here. Very classy and pretty and formula was great.
Dollish Polish – Amorous Amethyst (February)
Dollish Polish – Amorous Amethyst (February): Next is this gooooorgeous purple. Oh my I love this one! It’s so vibrant. Definitely one of my favourites from this collection. I saw two tones of purple in this one along with holographic purple glitter. The formula on all of these glitters was great for me except for this one which needed some thinner. it was probably just my bottle, I blame the mini bottles and it not being closed properly as all the others were nice and smooth.
Dollish Polish – Astonishing Aquamarine (March)
Dollish Polish – Astonishing Aquamarine (March): March babies get this beautiful pale blue glitter. I think this one had mostly fine blue glitter and some holographic glitter too. All of these are super sparkly in the sunlight. Impossible to capture in photos but so stunning!
Dollish Polish – Decadent Diamond (April)
Dollish Polish – Decadent Diamond (April): This collection not only has a full rainbow but gold and silver too! Decadent Diamond is a gorgeous silver polish with holographic silver glitter. Super sparkly! I can definitely see this one for nail art, accent nails or glitter gradients.
Dollish Polish – Enchanting Emerald (May)
Dollish Polish – Enchanting Emerald (May): Next we have this gorgeous bright grassy green. My mom was pretty happy with this vivid green being born in May. I loved this one too. I spotted two different colours of green and also some sparser holographic glitter. Sparkly!
Dollish Polish – Poignant Pearl (June)
Dollish Polish – Poignant Pearl (June): June is the most unique one out of the collection. A white matte glitter with pearlescent glitter. This one was the sparsest glitter but I quite like the delicate effect. This one is the personal favourite of Mei Mei!
Dollish Polish – Ravishing Ruby (July)
Dollish Polish – Ravishing Ruby (July): Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t love red but wow. This one is stunning! It is shimmery and sparkly. Eat your heart out Dorothy! I spied two tones of red and some orange in here too. Gorgeous!
Dollish Polish – Passionate Peridot (August)
Dollish Polish – Passionate Peridot (August): Next we have the August birthstone, Peridot. I really love this one, it might be my second favourite even though I loved them all so much. It’s so bright! I think there’s three different tones of green in here. They’re all super bright and fun!
Dollish Polish – Seductive Sapphire (September)
Dollish Polish – Seductive Sapphire (September): Next we have this gorgeous bright blue. This one is definitely hard to resist! It’s so bold! This one had dark blue glitter and light blue glitter.
Dollish Polish – Transcendent Pink Tourmaline (October)
Dollish Polish – Transcendent Pink Tourmaline (October): Then we have this beautiful bright pink for October babies. This one is so sparkly! It has lots of holographic glitter and it covered really nicely.
Dollish Polish – Captivating Citrine (November)
Dollish Polish – Captivating Citrine (November): Finally, MY birthday month! I’m a November baby (21st) and I have to say, I’m pretty happy with this awesome gold! It’s gorgeous and I know I’ll be using this one a lot for nail art. It also covered very nicely.
Dollish Polish – Tumultuous Blue Topaz (December)
Dollish Polish – Tumultuous Blue Topaz (December): Finally we have this beautiful (almost) teal blue. It’s a little more on the teal side in person than it is in the photos but it’s a tricky one to describe. You could call it a dark turqoise too. It’s very beautiful! Two or three different hues of blue as well as some gorgeous holographic glitter.
I have to say I really loved this collection. I love the whole idea behind it, the birthstones. And I love these fine but dense glitters that are super versatile. They work as a mani on their own, but they are also great for nail art, accent nails, and most of all, glitter gradients! I used three coats and one coat of top coat for all of these swatches.
