Konadicure #5

10th March, 2010

It’s been a while since I did a proper Konad manicure on myself, but I’ve been a bit bored lately and felt like doing one again. I did this look several weeks ago, and I’m still madly in love with it, so I decided to do it again. Thought it was time to share it too!

It’s basically a white fishnet design, with nothing underneath expect a clear base coat. Made with Konad plate m57.

Do you like the image? I had this idea to put my fingers in water and icecubes, but our fridge makes these weird quenelle-shaped icecubes instead of nice square ones… I guess we’re just going to have to buy a new fridge! ;)

Nails Gallore!

26th January, 2010

Sorry it’s been a while since I posted anything, I’ve been slacking I know! Apologies are in order, but my boyfriend’s been here for the past few days, busy busy busy ;)

Anyway, today a friend of ours, Peggy came round with her daughter Ylana and I did both their nails! I totally forgot making pictures though! Such a same. But what I did do is do all my nails in different colours and designs to show Ylana all the possibilities.

hands

I used image plate M57 and a wonderful deep blue nail polish by Essence for this look, I can really recommend it to anyone, it’s specifically designed for your feet as it’s antibacterial but it works perfect for your nails too. I have the colours 02 Deep blue sea (used here), 06 Juicy Orange, 01 Caribbean Sea and 03 Purple Magic. The current collection only has 8 colours, but they’re all bright and lovely! It’s my favourite cheap nail polish at the moment, it stays on for quite some time and it’s got great coverage. You can buy it at Kruidvat shops.

Konad loveliness

13th January, 2010

MY KONAD ORDER ARRIVED! I’m over the moon! I e-mailed Boozyshop last night to ask when my order would arrive as I hadn’t received a confirmation e-mail yet and she assured me it would arrive either Friday or Monday. But my mom went and got our mail today and it was in there already! I totally wasn’t expecting it as we’re only Wednesday yet.

konad order

Christmas came early as they say. It was wrapped in a cute pink bag with a blue tie around the end, I felt like a kid in a candy shop!

special nailpolishes

These are the special nail polishes we ordered, Black, Silver and Violet Pearl. We also ordered Pastel Violet, unfortunately that one was missing in the package but I immediately sent out an e-mail to inquire about this and not two minutes after I received an answer that this will probably be overlooked and that a new one will be sent out ASAP. Very good service, I’m very pleased about this!

imageplates

The image plates came in a cute Konad bag, I’ve put the nailpolishes in there as they don’t fit in my Konad nailart A set box so they don’t get lost amongst the other nail polish I have.

These are the Image plates I ordered. If you right click and open the image you can view a larger version.

Can’t wait to get started!

Christmas nails

7th January, 2010

As I’m waiting for my order to come through to do new nailart designs I’ll show you a few pictures of stuff I did a while back. It’s just the designs without a tutorial but I will be putting those up in the future!

This design I did during the holidays:

christmas nails

I used the Konad plate M15 for this and applied the same design twice to create a pattern. The nailpolish used is a 1 second nailpolish by Bourjois (application with the brush is great! it looks big but is very easy to use)

summer nails

Using the Hawaiian Konad plate M29 and a tiny orange (though it’s got more of a red shine on the picture) nailpolish I got from a discount basket for 50 eurocent at Hema.

Konad order

7th January, 2010

I’ve just recently fallen in love with Konad, it’s a stamping nail art technique, very simple and so much fun! I just ordered a whole load of new stash (7 image plates and 4 special nail polishes) from Boozyshop in Holland. I’m VERY reluctant towards ordering things online (as I am aware a lot of girls are, I know quite a lot of parents don’t want their kids ordering things online as it CAN come with risks or people like me who don’t own a visa card can forget ordering outside of europe or just outside of Belgium & the Netherlands) but you just cannot find Konad in stores in belgium, not near anywhere I live at least, and I just HAD to have these image plates and didn’t want to wait any longer. Hopefully they’ll arrive soooon cause I am so excited to get started with my head is full of ideas!

I’ve ordered:
M19
M57
M60
M62
M71
Special polish in Silver & Black

and my mom ordered:
M35
M69
Special polish in Pastel Violet & Violet Pearl
