Today an amazing package arrived containing lots and lots of nail art foils! After trying nail foils some time ago I was completely in love and decided to get some more. These 27 nail art foils are available at Born Pretty Store!

As you can see there’s tons of different designs and colours available. Gradients, solid colours, holographic designs, multicolor designs and even a leopard print. There’s also smaller and larger jars. I noticed the smaller jars with “shorter” sized nail foils were easier to manage and use. If you’re new to nail foils I recommend these!
It was almost impossible to decide which one I was going to use until I remembered a manicure I saw some time ago, by one of my favourite bloggers, The Sneakerette! (make sure to check out her blog, she’s awesome!)

When I first saw her manicure I was in love and knew I had to recreate it some day. I decided to use a different base colour, the one I used is one of the gorgeous BK Hello Kitty polishes in shade #26. I used a gold coloured foil in shade #8 which is the sixth jar from the top left in the picture above. For the black lines I used my favourite It’s So Easy nail art striper.

I really love how this manicure turned out! If you want to find out how to apply nail art foils make sure to check out my post that features a picture tutorial. Hope you like it! Let me know in the comments what you think.

As promised, today I’m back with part 2 (of 4) of the BK Hello Kitty swatches. Again, I’m also hosting a giveaway to win 3 shades of your choice from this post. I noticed with the previous giveaway that not everyone completed the three mandatory options (FB like, e-mail and 3 colours). Make sure to double check if you have, because if not all 3 mandatory options are completed you won’t be entered!

From left to right: #33, #35, #32, #29, #28, #30, #31, #26, #27, #41.
Anyway let’s take a look at the shades! These are the blues, minty greens and purples. Aren’t they stunning?
These are without a doubt my favourite set of colours. It just so happens that these are also the most opaque shades. I don’t think I could love these more if I tried!

BK Hello Kitty #33 - First up is this stunning minty green shade. It’s no secret that mint green is my absolute favourite colour.
This one is so perfect! Just the right amount of blues and greens mixed together. This was two coats.

BK Hello Kitty #35 - Another lovely minty green. This one leans more towards green but it still has a slight hint of blue. I guess this is closer to the famous Chanel Jade as mint greens go. This was also two coats.

BK Hello Kitty #32 - This is a lovely pale baby blue shade. This is a jelly finish but it was still nice and opaque in three coats. Very squishy! Though you will need a top coat, as with all other shades, for the ultra shiny finish. They all have a subtle gritty finish because of the glow in the dark pigments, but don’t worry as it completely evens out once you add top coat.

BK Hello Kitty #29 - Here’s a lovely turquoise blue. It’s bright and gorgeous! I think you can never go wrong with shades like this. They’re perfect for summer too! Isn’t this the perfect tropical beach shade?! This was two coats.

BK Hello Kitty #28 – This blue is slightly more muted compared to the previous and less green. I noticed a tiny bit of VNL when I was processing the pictures but it wasn’t as visible in person. I used two thin coats but in hindsight I could have added a third.

BK Hello Kitty #30 - This is an awesome bright blue. It’s slightly darker in person than in my pictures though it obviously depends on lighting. This was also two coats.

BK Hello Kitty #31 - Now this blue is a little harder to describe. Peacock teal blue? It’s definitely unique that’s for sure. It’s such an interesting shade. I really love this one! It had a jelly finish but I found the coverage pretty decent after two thicker or three thin coats.

BK Hello Kitty #26 - This is a lovely pale purple that slightly leans towards blue. Isn’t this gorgeous? It’s similar to American Apparel L’Esprit which I featured in a nail art not too long ago. I’m not a huge fan of purple but I can never resist to shades like this! I used two coats.

BK Hello Kitty #27 - A slightly different pale purple as it’s a lot warmer. Equally stunning though! This was also two coats.

BK Hello Kitty #41 - And finally this “odd one out” in the post, a shimmery gold. It’s a little sheer so it might work better for gradients or layering on top of other shades. It’s super pretty though! I used three coats but there’s still some VNL.

From left to right: #33, #35, #32, #29, #28, #30, #31, #26, #27, #41.
And finally how the shades look when they glow in the dark. Shades #32 and #41 seem to have a slightly brighter glow than the others. As with the pink shades, these BK Hello Kitty polishes have an amazing formula. They glide on like buttah, they’re opaque, they smell really nice and the bottles are adorable. What more could you ask for?
Below you can enter my giveaway to win three polishes of your choice from this post! Make sure to complete all 3 mandatory entries to be entered, after which you can unlock more chances of winning. Also, my giveaway for the pink shades is still open if you’d like to enter that too.
If you want to get your hands on these polishes anyway, head over to the Born Pretty Store website where you can purchase these for $4.99 a piece (grab them while you can!).
P.s. It’s so hard to pick just three but I’d go for #33, #31 and #26.

One of my other passions besides nail art and make-up is knitting and crochet. I grew up around yarn since my grandmother and mum have been avid knitters all their lives. I briefly tried knitting as a young girl but I never really got into it. Then I rediscovered crochet a few months ago and found myself hooked (excuse the pun
). Since crochet was becoming less challenging for me I decided it was time to start knitting!

For some strange reason that still isn’t clear to me, knitting came extremely naturally to me. I thought I’d never be able to knit since I always found it so difficult. Then suddenly I found myself tackling projects that are intermediate or even highly challenging skill levels with ease. Lace knitting, entrelac, stranded colourwork, etc. That last one is the technique I used for the pillow you see above. I’ve only been knitting for two months so I’m pretty proud I’ve accomplished so much in so little time!
I found the pattern for the pillowcase in a Filati Home magazine and I simply had to make it. Why? Because it immediately reminded me of a nail art design.
I used my favourite cotton yarn to make this pillow, Schachenmayr SMC Catania.

I decided to merge two of my passions so that’s what inspired these nails! I used the same pattern and colours that I used in my pillow. I painted it by hand using very thin nail art brushes and I used BK Hello Kitty nail polishes in shades #01, #29, #27 and #25. For the black I used OPI Black Onyx and I also used China Glaze Below Deck.

I really hope you like how these turned out! I love them so much because they were inspired by my pillowcase. I’ve noticed there are many nail bloggers that also love knitting and crochet! It’s so exciting to see people that share your passion.
If you love knitting and crochet like me, make sure to add me on Ravelry! What are your hobbies besides love for nail polish and nail art?

A few days ago I shared a picture on Facebook of the BK Hello Kitty nail polishes that are available at Born Pretty Store. I also hinted that I might be holding a giveaway for these polishes! At the bottom of this post you’ll find a Rafflecopter widget where you can pick three shades of your choice and get a chance to win them! First let’s take a look at the colours.

From left to right: #01, #02, #03, #04, #39, #16, #17, #18, #19, #21
There are 41 shades of the BK Hello Kitty Nail polishes in total, first up are these 10 colours. As you can see they are the pink shades! Since it’s Hello Kitty after all I decided to post these up first.
Over the next few weekends I’ll post up the other shades along with more giveaways.

BK Hello Kitty #01 - As you can see this is a lovely white nail polish. It’s great to use underneath sheer colours or neons, or for french manicures or nail art. It covered extremely well in only two coats. It’s my new favourite white polish! There’s something so pristine and lovely about solid white nails I think.

BK Hello Kitty #02 – This shade is a very sheer pink. You can use it for french manicures as I did above (I used #01 for the free edge) or simply use it for layering over other polishes. As it’s the brightest glowing nail polish this works great as a simple glow in the dark top coat as it’s pretty sheer and doesn’t give too much colour. Pictured above is three coats.

BK Hello Kitty #03 – This is a super cute pale pink. I really love this! It reminds me of OPI Soft Shades collections. I think it looks really beautiful and dreamy. It’s a little sheer but it wasn’t streaky and it applied very nicely. This was three coats.

BK Hello Kitty #04 – Another lovely cute pale pink. This is slightly darker than the previous one but application was very similar. These really glide on like butter! This was three coats.

BK Hello Kitty #39 – This is a slightly different one as it has really beautiful shimmer. You could use this as a top coat to add some shimmer to your manicure. Isn’t it pretty?! On its own it’s a little sheer as I used four thin coats.

BK Hello Kitty #16 – This is a stunning hot neon pink! It’s funny because I didn’t expect it to be so bright as it looks much darker in the bottle. I used only two coats and that gave me completely opaque coverage. Love this one! It’s awesome.

BK Hello Kitty #17 – This is a pretty blueish pink jelly. This shade is great if you have a reddish undertone in your skin. I used three coats but there’s still some VNL as it’s a jelly.

BK Hello Kitty #18 – This is another awesome neon pink. Quite similar to shade #16 but this one is slightly darker. It also needed an extra coat for complete coverage, 3 coats.

BK Hello Kitty #19 – This is another bright neon pink with jelly finish. It’s more of a true neon so the sheer finish is normal. I’d personally layer this over #01 for extra brightness! I used three coats.

BK Hello Kitty #21 – Finally this lovely dark red with blue shimmer. The shimmer is absolutely stunning! It’s a really gorgeous shade and application was a dream. I used two coats. Sadly this doesn’t glow as strongly as the others (as you can see in the picture below) but maybe that’s because I didn’t shake up my bottle properly. It’s still a gorgeous polish regardless!
I have to say these BK Hello Kitty polishes are my absolute favourite nail polishes from Born Pretty Store! They glide on like butter, they cover nicely, they don’t have a strong smell (in fact they smell surprisingly good!) and they are glow in the dark! What more could you want?
The cute bottles are just a bonus!

These are all shades on swatchicles, the image below is what they look like glowing in the dark! From left to right: #01, #02, #03, #04, #39, #16, #17, #18, #19, #21
As promised I have a giveaway for you! You can win three BK Hello Kitty nail polishes from this post. Feel free to enter if you have daughters, sisters or cousins you want to gift these to, or if you just want to keep them for yourself.
To enter simply like my Facebook page, leave your e-mail address so I can contact you and pick your three favourite shades from this post. Make sure to do all three mandatory options to unlock more chances of winning.
My top picks? I’d go for #01, #16 and #03 or #21.

Today I’m sharing a girly post featuring some wonderful studs from KKCenterHK. The studs I’m showing you are large heart shaped studs. The ones I tried are white hearts but you can also find them in pink, and similar heart shaped studs in gold, silver, pink and red. These white heart studs are $5 for which you get around 50 pcs. Let’s take a look!

The studs are 6mm in size, so they’re quite large. They’re also pretty flat, so if you have curvy nail beds (like me!) make sure to slightly bend the studs. You can simply place them on a rounded surface like a pencil or use the handle of a nail art brush as a mould to bend the studs slightly, using your fingers. I hope that makes sense!
This way the stud lays nice and flat on your nail without sticking out at the sides and catching onto stuff!

Here’s the manicure I created using the heart studs! I thought the white looked really pretty and delicate so I went with a very girly design. The base colour is 2 coats of American Apparel L’Esprit which is a lovely pale lavender shade. On my index finger I created a white half moon with 2mm pearls around it, on my ring finger I freehanded a lace design using my white It’s So Easy striper and on my pinkie I added a simple white polka dot.
Hope you like it! You can find the white heart studs at KKCenterHK for $5 per pack. Make sure to check out KKCenterHK for lots of awesome nail decorations and Asian cosmetics. Don’t forget to use my coupon code “veryemily” for a 10% discount on your order! Enjoy!

Spring weather hasn’t arrived yet in Belgium but hopefully these rainbow coloured polishes will brighten up your day! I’m so excited I finally got to try the March Nail Lacquer polishes by Born Pretty Store. My heart skipped a beat when I first saw these on the New Arrivals page. The packaging is simply adorable! Who can resist that cute little bow?
Let’s take a look at the colours!

These are nine of the twelve shades in total. They look absolutely adorable in pictures but in person they look even cuter! The bottles hold 12ml so you get a decent amount of product too even though the bottles may look smaller.

March Nail Lacquer rainbow! Sadly like all other current Born Pretty Store nail varnishes, these only haves numbers and no names. This time however, the number on the site and the numbers on the bottles do correspond. That’s definitely easier!
Let’s take a look at the swatches!

March MM-003: This is a beautiful berry red jelly. It was fairly opaque after three coats.

March MM-004: This is a raspberry pink creme with ultra-fine holographic glitters. If you look closely you can see the sparse glitter. It’s really pretty! A very girly shade. This was three coats.

March MM-009: This is a coral pink with soft silver shimmer. It’s slightly frosty but I didn’t notice any brush strokes so that was good. This is another really girly shade. I love how it has a slight coral tone, makes it more wearable for me. This covered nicely, I used three coats.

March MM-006: This is a bright purple creme. It’s bright yet still looks like a pastel shade. This was very opaque and needed just two coats.

March MM-001: This is a pretty turquoise blue jelly. Really love this one! This was three coats.

March MM-007: My favourite colour! A beautiful teal jelly. Sadly this was pretty sheer. After four coats there’s still obvious VNL on me. This isn’t great to wear on its own but this polish is perfect for certain types of nail art that require a sheer colour.

March MM-012: This is a really cute apple green shade with soft silver shimmer. Similar to the pink shade, 009, this has an almost frosty type of finish. Yet I still really loved this! I used four thin coats.

March MM-006: A pretty pastel yellow! As flawless as this looks in pictures, it took a few coats before it was even. This was extremely patchy, I needed four coats but I got there in the end. The formula of yellow polishes can prove to be a little tricky, which was definitely the case for this one.

March MM-002: A sunny orange creamy jelly! This was a mix between cream and jelly. I really like this type of orange, it’s fun and bright! I used four coats.
Overall I really loved these March Nail Lacquer polishes. They don’t have the most opaque formula, but they are easy to work with and the shades are nice and bright. They also don’t have a strong scent which gets a big thumbs up from me. The bottles are absolutely adorable, definitely some of the prettiest I’ve seen. They are a little on the pricier side at $7.29 per bottle. You can find them at Born Pretty Store, make sure to use my 10% off code EMILYW21 when you order!
What’s your favourite shade? What do you think of these cute bottles? Let me know in the comments!

I’m sharing a review on the new Born Pretty Store glitter polishes today! There are 17 shades in total and I have 16 to share with you. They’re by a brand called Jia Yuan. I can’t find a lot of info about this brand but the bottles look pretty amazing! Let’s take a look!

Sorry for my absence during the past few days… I’ve been sick in bed, I still am while writing this. Pretty frustrating since I had so many exciting posts planned! I guess you’ll just have to be patient with me for a little longer!
Anyway these are some really simple but fun nails I did last week. I used one of the new Born Pretty Store nail polishes from the BK Crystal Sand collection. I ended up wearing this mani for almost a week, it lasted 4 full days on me before it started to chip. Needless to say I was hugely impressed with the wear of this BK polish!

I used two coats of the BK Crystal Sand polish in #17, it was pretty much a one-coater though. Mine did need a bit of polish thinner but that’s not the end of the world. It was nice and opaque which I enjoy in black polishes. It has a beautiful silver shimmer to it, it almost reminded me of stars in the night sky. Very pretty! It has a matte and slightly gritty finish but I added plenty of top coat to make sure it was nice and glossy.

On the accent nail I added a bow using 2mm round studs and gold heart studs. I saw this idea on Liquid Jelly‘s blog and loved it, so I simply had to try it myself! Simple nail art can often be the most effective. I really loved wearing this! I hope you like it as well.
Don’t forget to use my coupon code if you order anything with Born Pretty Store, EMILYW21 gives you a 10% discount on your order.

I’ve barely found the time to blog this week, I’ve just been so busy! However, I do have some pretty exciting posts to share on here soon, so make sure to watch this space.
In the meantime, here’s a recap of a few things I shared on Instagram the past few weeks. There’s also a question for YOU at the bottom of this post. So make sure to leave me your feedback, I’d love to hear your suggestions!
Follow me on Instagram: veryemily.

Left: When I saw this heart at Action for under $2 I simply had to buy it. It was being sold as a display for greeting cards, but in my head I immediately saw my necklaces dangling from the beautiful little hearts. I’m so glad I picked this up! It’s definitely one of my new favourite items in my room. Score!
Right: It’s been a few years since I bought a new duvet cover and I figured it was time for a change. I’ve wanted a Union Jack duvet cover for a while and when I was googling I found that 3SUISSES had the perfect one. I picked this up during their sale, it came in at around $50 including the four pillow covers. I love how it has a different design on the inside!

On 28 January, I had the most epic nail mail day ever! One of my bestest friends Alex (aka Algae Veronica! Please check out her blog, she’s an amazing nail artist) absolutely spoiled me with the most amazing package filled with goodies. I wish I knew what I did to deserve such kindness!
My new piCture pOlish shades for my weekly swatchathon also arrived that day. I was, and still am, overwhelmed with all the beautiful polishes I was blessed with that day!

On 1 February my boyfriend and I celebrated our four year anniversary. I’m so blessed to have such an amazing, supportive and awesome boyfriend. I wouldn’t know what to do without him!

MUA Cosmetics was having a sale on their website not too long ago. All of their products were 50% off, and they were having a free international shipping deal. Given their products are so cheap already, this definitely was too good to pass up! So these are the goodies I picked up during the sale. Would anyone like to see reviews on some of these items? Let me know in the comments!

Left: Last weekend I had a haul at Action and Kruidvat. Action is quickly becoming one of my favourite stores, it’s basically like a Poundland or a Dollar Store. Everything is so cheap and the items they sell are awesome! They have a lot of great make-up products and cosmetics too. As you can tell from the duplicates, these goodies are not all for me! I also picked up some items for a few dear friends of mine.
Right: This is the Essence Popul-Art blush from the Vintage District limited edition. It’s so beautiful! I almost don’t want to use it. The gold is an overspray so I haven’t touched it yet. The effect is too pretty to ruin!

Meet my first ever decoden iPhone case! I got it at Born Pretty Store, it comes in a set with a clear iPhone case, large decoden pieces, rhinestones and pearls, glue and a nifty pencil for picking up rhinestones. I also used some other rhinestones I had lying around. I definitely went a bit overboard with the bling.
I love it so much though! Especially the little nail polish charm. It’s just the cutest!

Left: Behold my very own OPI Euro Centrale display! When I saw the first previews of Euro Centrale I knew I had to have the full collection. I’ve never bought a full collection before but I simply had to have it, the shades were SO me! My friend Alex was able to hook me up with this, so a huge thanks to her.
Right: A little sneaky peek of my three favourite shades from the Euro Centrale collection. But more on that in my swatch post which should be going up this week or early next week!

And finally, here’s the new Born Pretty Store glitter polishes! I will be swatching these on my blog very soon! But this is where you come in… As they are mostly layering glitters I’ve been debating which colours I should layer them over. As there’s so many, I will only be able to show one layering combination. Either I can use the same colour for all glitters (white or black?) or I can pick a shade that I think works best with each shade. Please let me know what you’d prefer and what you would like to see me do with these!
Hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for watching and reading!

I have a review for you today on one of the more recent products at Born Pretty Store! I love Born Pretty Store for their nail decorations and polishes but they offer so many more amazing products. Today I’m sharing a product of their skin care range. Let’s take a look!

This is the Shea Butter Hand Cream. What instantly drew me to this product was the packaging. It comes in a beautiful and elegant box, which you slide open to reveal the hand cream. Hand cream is something I try to use as much as possible. Now with the colder weather especially, it’s very important to keep your hands moisturized!

The packaging feels and looks very luxurious. The hand cream comes in a tube which has the same ballerina pattern on it as the box. Isn’t it gorgeous?
It looks so beautiful standing on your desk or table. And it’s the perfect size to keep in your bag too!
What I love most about this Shea Butter Hand Cream is that it feels ah-mazing on the skin. I hate having dry hands but what I dislike even more is a sticky hand cream. This product sinks into your skin immediately and stops your skin from feeling dry. On the site the description says “forms a layer of protective film” which is very accurate. It’s tricky to describe, but it instantly makes my hands feel better without being sticky.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the scent of this sadly, it reminded me of a powdery play-doh or paint-like smell. It’s subtle enough so it doesn’t bother me too much. It definitely doesn’t stop me from using it as it feels SO nice on my hands! I will definitely have to pick up the two other scents though! This hand cream is also available in polygonatum scent and green tea scent.
This Shea Butter Hand Cream is available on the Born Pretty Store website for $7.32. I really love this hand cream, it feels simply amazing. Definitely worth the price tag in my opinion! Don’t forget to save some money on your order with my coupon code, EMILYW21 gives you 10% off!
