I have some nail art to show you today! Usually when I do nail art I have an idea in my mind before I start, often I’ll even sketch it out with my iPad. This nail art came about when I was trying out a different design, and since it wasn’t working, I grabbed my nail polish remover and tried something else.

I’m pretty pleased with how these turned out! Even though they look a million times better in person than they do in pictures. But that’s always how it usually goes with nail art…
I really love the colour scheme and vintage feel of the design. I used the one stroke painting technique for the flowers. For the pinstripe nails I added a black line along 1/3 of the teal lines and silver glitter to spice it up a bit. From a small distance they look like gradients! These are the polishes I used:
- HITS – Julie
- Catrice – Jade Is Not My Name
- It’s So Easy Stripe Rite – Black
- It’s So Easy Stripe Rite – Silver Glitter
- Acrylic Paints
Hope you like it!

Today’s nail art was inspired by the spray paint technique I saw at the blog Manicurator. She used a spray bottle to create a splatter effect. I really loved this idea so decided to give it a go!

I ended up doing it a little differently though. I used acrylic paints in my spray bottle instead of nail polish. I started by adding water in the bottle, then slowly adding a few drops of white acrylic paint until the water looked opaque enough, while still keeping the liquid consistency. My spray bottle tended to squirt once I tried using anything thicker than a liquid consistency.
The result looks very nice I think! Almost like raindrops that have dried on a window. I added a few rhinestones on an accent nail to add some elegance to the look. All rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store.

These are the products I used for this look:
I really love how this turned out even though the technique was a little on the messier side for me. I had to experiment with the acrylic paint until I reached the effect I was going for. Though it was definitely worth it in the end!

We’ve been having quite glum weather in Belgium lately. I thought, what better to brighten up our days than some rainbows? Feast your eyes on these images of my favourite rainbow coloured stuff!

Martha Stewart Gemstone Glitter Set – I found this set for a pretty awesome price, just €2 – $3,7! Usually these sets are quite expensive. They’re really perfect for nail art so that was a great find. I love how they have names too, that green glitter is called Peridot, pretty awesome right?

Born Pretty Store Acrylic Paint Set – I hugely love this set of acrylic paints, the colours are stunning and the quality of the paint is amazing. Let me know if you’d like to see a review on these!

Zoeva 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette – I got this palette years and years ago, I don’t use it that often but it’s so fun to look at. Never fails to bring a smile to my face!

Rainbow of Swatchicles – If you’ve read my swatchicle post I’m sure these will look familiar to you. I just love my swatchicles, they’re the best!
Personal update: I know I haven’t been very active lately on my blog, Tumblr and Facebook for which I apologise! The main reason is that I’ve been quite busy with an internship I’m doing at a second hand store. It’s going well so I’m happy! I also started dieting again, I lost 14kg – 30 lbs two years ago but I took a long break, now I’m back on track! The only thing that’s different this time is that I am working out and exercising, something that I’ve always hated. I’ve been following a 30 day workout plan where I have to exercise 25 minutes every day and it’s been surprisingly fun. Actually enjoying exercise is new to me so that’s been really great, for which I have to thank Sarah for inspiring me. I’ve been keeping a Tumblr to update my progress and stay motivated, feel free to take a look. Anyway, sorry to bore you with my personal life, I know I don’t talk about it often on my blog but I thought I’d share this.
I was also nominated for the Weekend Knack Blog Awards, thanks so much to those who nominated me! If you’d like to vote for me, please follow this link. I doubt I will win since I’m a small blog compared to the other ones but it’s still a huge honour.
Have a lovely day everyone! I hope these rainbow images managed to brighten up your day.

Quick nail art manicure today. I called these Aquarelle/Watercolour nails since that’s what they reminded me of. I created these after seeing a tutorial on this Korean nail blog. I’ve been getting a few requests for tutorials lately (I’m working on some!) but since the tutorial by Luuthienluv is so good I couldn’t possibly do a better job. Definitely check it out! It’s basically a bit of a different technique for gradients, I think it’s really fun and easy.
I used Catrice Snow Motion (white) as a base and the colours are mixed acrylic paints.
