d’beauty circle lenses

Some of you may have seen the pictures on my facebook or on twitter, since Friday I am the proud owner of a pair of circle lenses! Thanks to the website dbeautyshop.com who has an amazing range of circle lenses.

Circle lenses are very big in Asia, where all the girls have the same eye colour, a pair of bright coloured circle lenses enables them to stand out from the crowd. A lot of celebrities wear them as well which makes them even more popular to Asian girls. Here in Europe we get the most amazing variety in colours so it’s less well-known though it’s starting to rise. I have always been hugely fascinated with coloured lenses, and lenses in general. I’m very lucky I have perfect eyesight so I don’t need glasses or lenses but I always wanted to try lenses and change my boring brown eyes to something brighter.

I got to try the Geo Nudy Blue circle lenses, I got 0.00 power since I don’t need prescription but you can get them with power as well! They cost €23,92 and they last for one year.

I had no issues putting them in the first time, I wasn’t scared to put them in my eyes, I just popped them both in in under 10 minutes, it does take some practice but once you get the hang of it it’s quite easy. They feel comfortable when wearing, I can feel that they’re there the first few minutes but after that I don’t notice I’m wearing them.

The top image is the way my eyes look natural, the middle is with natural light and the bottom with flash photography. I’m not wearing a lot of make-up on the bottom two images since that’s a bit tricky at first with lenses I wanted to be careful not to get any dirt into my eyes. :)

Be warned: scary macro images coming up, not for the feint hearted!

Looks a bit scary doesn’t it?

This is a macro image Maarten took of my eyes two years ago, yesterday he took the same image but with the circle lenses.

My eyelid is a bit droopy cause I’m squinting as the sun was shining in my eyes, not the mention the bright ring flash blinding me :D

Conclusion: I think they are great fun, I absolutely love them and they’re great for pictures. They don’t look natural, not in photographs and not in person as they are a lot bigger than your own iris, but it doesn’t bother me. I actually quite like that they are a bit scary, cartoonish and doll like. I really like the way they make my eyes look and I’d probably even wear them out.

website: www.dbeautyshop.com this website is very reliable and they provided a great customer service.

Many thanks to Maarten for taking the amazing macro images!

I was sent these products by DBeautyshop to review. I am not in any way affiliated with this company nor am I being paid by them. All opinions stated are honest and my own.
