Essence – Boho Chic Swatched

Recently Essence revamped their Colour & Go line. Their bottles used to be quite small at just 5ml, now they hold 8ml which a lot better! Now I’m not going to lie, I’m not a huge fan of the new bottles but when I saw this shade I simply had to pick it up!
This colour is called Boho Chic, it’s a muted/nude coral with gold flakies. Above you see three coats of Boho Chic with a layer of topcoat. Words cannot express how much I love this shade! It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s one of those really hard to capture shades since it looks different in every light setting. You’ll just have to see this one in person to see its true beauty!
Here’s a close-up that shows the gold flakies. So stunning right? I love it! I also really adore the name Boho Chic, I think it works really well with the colour. Go Essence!
As well as a new larger bottle they also changed their brushes. They’re now slightly wider and cut rounded at the end. I’m not usually a huge fan of wide brushes but this one works really great! I love it!

ik ben ook geen fan van de nieuwe flesjes, haha, maar wel tof dat er meer in zit nu. Ik kocht free hugs een paar weken geleden, eindelijk een mooi lichtroze kleurtje! Maar sinds kort heb ik werk (in de horeca) dus ik kan m'n nagels niet meer zo vaak lakken, boehoe

Ja ze zijn niet echt elegant hé! Hihi. Wel fijn dat er meer in zit inderdaad, en ook de nieuwe borsteltjes werken heel goed. Jammer dat je niet zo vaak meer kan lakken

Ahhh I didn't see this when I was in Germany last week ! None of their collection really stood out for me, except Redvolution which is a pretty great saturated red colour.. oh well !

I\’ve walked past the display about 3-4 times before I spotted this one! It looks unremarkable in the harsh lighting from the shops but when you see it outside in daylight it is so stunning!

im not a fan of the new bottles either because i think they're quite bulky and ugly looking. however, i do love the gold flakies in the color you picked up! i got a few colors over here but it kinda sucks cause they doubled the price but not the amount of product you get

Haha no I agree with you. I love my polish bottles to look elegant but these are anything but that. Oh wow, they doubled the price?? How much are they over there? They increased them here but they still cost the same per ml.

I bought 10 Essence polishes in the last month. I didn't have the chance to try them all, but I did try the holo Chic Reloaded, like the effect, not the colors tho. In canada, they cost 1.99$.
