1500 likes!

My blog hit 1500 likes today! Thanks so much to all of you! I’m so honoured and excited and grateful and happy. I decided to celebrate this milestone by revamping my current blog. This is what you will find has changed:
- I have a brand new colour scheme in my favourite colour, mint green. Even though I like pink, mint green suits me a lot better and I’m sure you will all agree!
- I updated my header, a project I dreamt up and turned out exactly as I wanted it to. It took me a few hours to paint all the nail tips but it was so worth it. I really hope you like it!
- My friend Zoë Slock also kindly created a stunning new artwork for my sidebar.
- One of the biggest changes I made is to my comment system, I will now be using IntenseDebate. This allows my comments to be threaded and I hope it will provide an easier way for you to comment and also to be updated of replies to your comments.
I will of course be celebrating this milestone with a huge giveaway! I still have some work to do before I can post it up but I’m keeping my fingers crossed I can start hosting it this weekend. Definitely keep an eye on my blog! In the meantime, I really hope you like my new blog theme, please let me know in the (new!) comments if you do. And most of all, thank YOU all for reading my blog! ♥

Mostly everything is still in pink for me, but i love the new sidebar image!

Yes it seems this is the case for other people too.
I updated my blogpost with the advice to refresh the page or delete your cache/cookies and try reloading it after that. The new colour scheme should show up then!

Now, I'm going a bit off topic, but I'm issuing you a public apology for the way I've been acting lately. I've really dropped the ball on getting back in touch with you the past few months, and I really am ashamed of myself. I have been just kind of anti-social a bit and it's affecting my relationships, including ours. I don't want to lose you or anyone else I've got as a friend, so I'm going to try to put in a lot more effort, even when school comes back around. I've been working on our swap for the past few days, and I'm going to try to get everything done as soon as I can so that you can get your polishes! I know that I've been a bad, terrible friend lately, and I need to treat you a whole lot better. I'm sorry, Emily :[

Awh haha Kaitie don't worry about it! I'm sorry I haven't replied to your last message yet but days have been a bit hectic!
We'll get our swap finished in a time span with which we both feel comfortable and then we can send out our packages, there's no rush (it's taken us what, like over a year already anyway?

i love your new layout!!! i like pink too, but something about cooler shades are just easier on the eyes. your friend is really talented btw, your sidebar image is what really sets you apart from other blogs imo!

Thanks so much Eileen! I'm glad you like it. The pink was cute but so not me, mint green is my fav shade so it was only fitting! And thank you, I'll make sure to let her know, she's very critical of her own work but she shouldn't be, her work is absolutely amazing!

Lovely new theme Emily, great job and nice concept! I think it really reflects you more as a person! Mint Union Jack nail is a surprise!
haha Love the artwork of your friend, it's so magnetic, i can stare at her art for hours.. Does she have a website or something? And by the way, where i can check your bracelets? It's an all-time hobby of mine and i actually was thinking to include my hand-made bracelet in your nail mail too 
But things got too hectic and i thought, ok maybe next time 
So yeah, show me yours!

Thanks so much Liliana! I'm really glad you to hear it! Yes my friend has a Flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/zoeslock/ she's currently working on her own site (I hope she finishes it soon!). I am working on a blogpost about the bracelets, where I get my supplies and inspiration, etc. I don't have any pictures up yet (except for on instagram but they're poor quality) so I'll e-mail you a picture over now! I just finished my (imo) best bracelet yet! Three large gold chain links with macrame knots in pale blue on either side. I didn't know you made bracelets too! I think this calls for a "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" type of deal
