Born Pretty Store Review – BB Cream

I have a super exciting Born Pretty Store review again. You guessed it, I recommended this item to them! I pretty much begged them to stock some BB cream. :D And I’m sure you’ll agree, an Asian online store needs some Blemish Balm! They went for a BB cream from the brand Lohashill, I hadn’t heard of it before but it’s a Chinese brand I believe.

I’ve been meaning to try BB cream for ages, it’s got high SPF (35 in this case), moisturizes, has soothing properties, works as a primer, foundation and concealer all at the same time, and so much more. Sounds pretty amazing right? BB cream is highly popular in Asia, recently Western brands started selling them too, though they are not the same. They’re more like tinted moisturizers with sheer coverage, while Asian BB creams provide higher coverage. Something I was definitely looking for!

This particular BB cream has truly amazing coverage. It only comes in one shade but it worked perfectly for me. It’s on the thicker side but I didn’t have any issues with blending, for lighter coverage I like to use my fingers or mix it with a tiny bit of moisturizer.

I got the Rose Girl BB cream which has a subtle rose scent. If there’s one scent I dislike, it’s roses, but for some strange reason I don’t mind this one that much. It’s pleasant and subtle and it fades after a few minutes.

I’ve found it also lasts quite well. I’ve been using it daily for some time now and even during hot sweaty days it stays put. Despite it being a thicker formula than what I’m used to, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. I’m very sensitive to heavy foundation and I didn’t experience issues with this one I’m glad to say. I have dry to normal skin and often foundation will expose blemishes or dry skin. This is the first foundation or concealer-like product that didn’t do that for me. I honestly can’t think of many bad things to say about this product!

Even the price is pretty good, this BB cream priced at $15.21 for 60ml, so you’re getting a lot of product! One downside is that it only comes in one shade, so I’m guessing it will only work for light to medium skintones. From the same brand they also started stocking a cleanser, toner and moisturizer. If you want to try a BB cream but don’t want to spend $15 you can even try a 10ml sample size for just $5.05. If you order with Born Pretty Store don’t forget to use my code EMILYW21 to get a 10% discount on your entire order.

The picture on their site isn't of the Rose Girl BB cream so you might not get the same one. Could always drop them an e-mail and ask or leave it in the order comments.
