Today I present to you my second entry for Homage Month! This is my homage to Kayleigh, I first came across her work on Tumblr. She’s known for her innovative and unique nail designs, pushing the limits of nail art to new dimensions! Even if her name might not sound familiar (yet!) I am sure you have seen her Batman nails or her Dark Tower nails.
I chose to recreate her Jack Skellington nails, even though her other designs are more “unique” this one spoke to me a lot. I loved the contrast between the round white head and the long and square pinstripe nails. I made my Jack a little more evil-looking. I couldn’t help myself!
I didn’t cut down the nail tips yet and while taking pictures I thought they were slightly too long so I filed them down. This created some dust along the edges and I decided to keep it since I liked how it looked. I know the white nail looks kinda photoshopped (it’s not!) but that’s because I used a matte topcoat and the light makes the white stand out a lot more compared to the other nails.

Hereby I’d like to say thanks to Kayleigh for creating such wonderful designs, she’s a true artist and I honestly cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us. Please take a look at her DeviantArt page to check out her other designs. Prepare to be blown away!
