Spring Nails!
25th March, 2012 - Posted by Emily - 27 Comments
I am enjoying the weather we’ve been having here in Belgium so much. It’s been really sunny and warm for this time of the year. I love Springtime!

I created this Spring inspired manicure. I chose a floral print since for me Spring is all about the flowers starting to bloom! I included a 3D acrylic heart which I made with a mold. I used square rhinestones, steel balls and pearls as well. The polishes I used were Dearlee in 07 (blue) and 08 (pink) and acrylic paints for the roses. Every single thing I used to create this from nail tips to brushes and dotting tools is from Born Pretty Store. I only noticed this when writing this post so it was a complete coincidence haha!
I am really proud of these nails, I think they are some of the best I’ve done.

I know stiletto shaped nails are not for everyone but I think they look so elegant. I was not blessed with the skinniest or longest fingers but they make my hands look so feminine!
Are you enjoying gorgeous Spring weather where you live?

I loved this! They look very much like sunny days, and R&R time. I'm not entirely sure that I would use the stileto nails or the big heart in 3d, since I have to tone down sometimes in my line of work. But they look Incredible! Congrats on winning first running up on the contest!

Hello! This nail art is very very pretty. I've got a question. How do you do to bend the 3D heart to follow the curve of your nail? When I removed my hearts from the molds after letting them sit for only a couple of minutes I couldn't bend them in any way

Hey Sascha! Thanks so much
The trick is to get the out of the mold when they are not fully hardened, you should wait no more than about 30 seconds to a minute depending how liquid the acrylic is. Once the surface has gone slightly dull usually they are dry enough to take out. Place them on your nail immediately and they will stay nice and curved once they are fully hardened! Hope that helps
