All about Toe Nail Art!

On my Tumblr and Facebook-page I posed the following question this week.
“How do you feel about toe nail art?”
It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot, I caught myself always shying away from posting pictures of my toes on my blog since I know many people feel a bit apprehensive when it comes to feet. This inspired me to gather people’s opinions!
Let’s see what some of my readers and friends had to say:
“I’m totally neutral on this! I don’t mind seeing feet at all but I never paint my toenails!” - just-as-free-as-myhair via Tumblr.
“I am self-conscious about my toes, so I don’t post them. As long as they are kept neat it doesn’t bother me.” – tisemsonly via Tumblr.
“I’d say it depends on the toes. I saw some toes with really long nails and I don’t like that at all [...], but I’m okay with neat short toe nails, with a pretty polish and/or nail art.” – Gwenn via Facebook
“I’d love to see toe nail art! I don’t personally do anything crazy on my toes but I’d love ideas.” – liztheturtle via Tumblr.
“I personally don’t like toe nail art, but sometimes there are a few that look really awesome. I’m just not a toe person.”- msmonster via Tumblr.
“I like doing nail art on my toes! 10 extra canvases! As for seeing them – depends on the persons feet… Some feet aren’t very nice.” – miicheleee via Tumblr.
“I like toe nail art! I think it’s better than seeing regular toe nails, so why shouldn’t you show ways to make a yucky part look better?” – graceonfire via Tumblr.
“I don’t mind toe art/photos. I definitely think they are iffy but as long as it’s well groomed its fine. I hate long toe nails, yuck!” – Karlee via Facebook.
Overall it seemed clear to me the majority of the people aren’t opposed to toe nail art or pictures of feet. Those who are opposed, look away now! I decided, for the purpose of this post, to get over my shyness towards posting my toes and put my best foot forward! Literally!

A simple pinstripe. Polishes used: China Glaze Sea Spray and It’s So Easy Stripe Rite in white.
In my opinion feet are not the most elegant part of the body but I am not opposed to seeing pictures of (healthy) feet, especially not when they are adorned with cute nail art. I don’t hate my own feet though posting a picture of them on my blog is a little daunting I have to say!
The above picture is a design I did two weeks ago, on my toes polish tends to last a very long time, another great advantage of toe nail art!
So now I ask you, my lovely blog readers, what’s your take on this? Do you ever paint your toes? What do you think of toe nail art? If you’re a blogger, do you ever post pictures of your feet on your blog? Please feel free share your respectful opinions!

Gorgeous Emi! Haven't posted my toes just cause I am self-conscious like I said in my reply haha. But it doesn't bother me as long as they look good! I do paint them but rarely does it have nail art upon them.

They are cute ! That's the kind of toe art I appreciate
I'd like to do some simple art on my toes during summer (I don't paint them at all when I have to wear normal shoes) but with my weight problem, it's hard T_T When i'll have lost that stupid weight, I'll start doing stuff like that

Bedankt Isha!!

I'm not entirelly comfortable seeing feet in general, mostly because it's depend on the feet in question, and you can't judge before you see it. But your feet are really neat.
I don't and won't show my own feet on my tumblr anytime soon, 'cause I do feel self conscious about it. And I actually can't – ability wise – paint my own toenails. So usually about twice a month I go to a salon and paint them. Any color of the spectrum that might strike at the time. About nail art on toe… I guess it also depends on what you put on it. A more simple design, like the stripes are a really nice touch, but I don't think I would use leopard prints on it.

Aww thanks haha!
I have always been fine with seeing feet but some just aren't very nice I guess so I agree. It's the same with hands though, no one wants to look at dirty hands with nasty fingernails, so long as eveything is healthy and taken care of I guess it's fine with me!
I agree with you though, a simple design is best! It has to look good from a distance, with fingernails you can paint a more intriciate design and look at them up close, feet are always further away so it has to be striking from a distance so simple is definitely better!
Thanks for sharing your comments on the matter!

for a very long time, i only did nail art on my toes and used my fingernails as trial runs. i was always afraid of having intricate designs that i couldn't do on my dom hand, and having both hands to kind of hold my foot still is very helpful!
