China Glaze Capitol Colors – Swatches

I present to you, one of the most coveted and popular China Glaze collections, Capitol Colors! They created this collection to compliment the popular book The Hunger Games (of which the movie will be in cinemas this month!). Each colour was created with a district from the books in mind. I have two polishes to show you up-close, but first let’s take a look at the full collection!

From left to right: Dress Me Up – District 8 (Textiles), Foie Gras – District 10 (Livestock), Fast Track – District 6 (Transportation), Hook and Line – District 4 (Fishing), Stone Cold – District 2 (Masonry),
Smoke and Ashes – District 12 (Mining).

From left to right: Agro – District 11 (Agriculture), Mahogany Magic – District 7 (Lumber), Harvest Moon – District 9 (Grain), Riveting – District 3 (Technology), Electrify – District 5 (Power), Luxe and Lush – District 1 (Luxury)
And the two colours I received were Fast Track and Agro. Even though these aren’t typically “my type of colours” they are both very beautiful and I’m sure they will appeal to some of you!

Fast Track: This is a sheer beige with gold shimmer. It’s a very delicate colour! I used three coats to get complete coverage though there is still a tiny bit of VNL on my index finger.

Agro: This is a metallic olive green with flecks of gold. It’s very similar to a shade in last years Holiday collection, Peace On Earth. This colour however is colder and less yellow as Peace On earth. You do get a bit of brush strokes with this colour so make sure to get an even application. I used just two coats but you could definitely get away with one!
Both colours applied really smoothly! Great formula as always from China Glaze. I am considering buying Dress Me Up and Foie Gras though I fear I already have similar shades in my collection. Stone Cold is also a really great colour to look out for as it dries matte and Riveting is almost sold out everywhere as it is simply stunning!
I was kindly sent these products by AII to review. I am not in any way affiliated with this company nor am I being paid by them! All opinions stated are honest and my own, as always.

Haha I know how you feel! Over here in Belgium you can only find them at beauty supplies which are basically only for professionals with their own business, for a regular customer to buy there they charge about $13 per bottle. The cheapest way for us to buy ChG is at TransDesign which is about $53 for 9 bottles (includes shipping). Nine bottles locally would cost twice as much, $117!!! It's honestly insane haha.

Oh dankjewel hihi!
Mijn korte stompjes!
