Needle Drag Nails

I first spotted the needle drag technique on Copy That, Copy Cat’s blog. I was instantly in love! Some time after that I then bumped into Mr.Candiipants’ needle drag nails and her tutorial on Tumblr which I highly recommend you watch!

Keep in mind this is a first attempt! Like with all techniques you need practice to make them perfect. I like how they look so I’ll definitely be trying again and again to master this technique and make more interesting designs.

I used Models Own Peach Puff as a base and China Glaze VIII, a gorgeous aubergine, as contrasting colour.

Is it depressing that my answer is nothing? Haha! I won't be going out or anything so probably it will just be what I am wearing at the time! I guess it'll be what I am wearing now which I will post about tomorrow if all goes well! :D They are very sparkly and definitely party appropriate but that's all I'm giving away :D

Thanks Gwenn! You should definitely try the technique, it's lots of fun and not to mention FAST! As you have to work quickly, you'll have all ten fingers done in no time :D

Thanks and good luck! They are really fun! Don't forget to do one nail at a time and paint a thick base layer of polish, add drops of a different colour and start swirling with a needle! :) xoxo
