Lace Manicure

I recently did a manicure with REAL lace. These were really big on the runway last season and I never had the chance to try them until now. My grandmother had this gorgeous piece of lace I could use, really delicate and absolutely gorgeous, pictured above.

And here’s how it turned out! I used China Glaze Sunset Sail as a base, then used nail glue to attach the lace to my nails and several coats of Seche Vite. I wore it for a day but then I felt it lacked something, the lace was very shiny and of course actual lace isn’t shiny at all so I put a matte topcoat over it and that really brought the design to life!

It’s a fun manicure to do, though I think it would be a lot easier if you had a friend to help with this. It’s not the easiest thing to apply to your nails. I did find it was a bit uncomfortable to wear so this is probably more suitable for a night out or a special occasion. I removed it after two days because I couldn’t stand it anymore! Oh well, we girls don’t mind a bit of suffering to look good, right! :)
